    AlShammari: promising investment opportunities for investors in Jubail and Ras Al Khair

     

    The Director General of Strategic Planning and Investment Development Sector in the Royal Commission in Jubail and Yanbu, Badr bin Nasser Al-Shammari, stressed linking the strategic objectives of the Commission and its full harmony with the vision of the Kingdom 2030 in its strategic objectives and general objectives in reaching a prosperous economy, which promised a vital society and an ambitious homeland.

    He pointed out that the volume of investments of the cities of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Ras Al Khair amounted to 689 billion riyals, of which 577 billion riyals are the total volume of industrial investment by (84%), 39 billion riyals are the total volume of residential and commercial investment by (6%), and 73 billion riyals are the total volume of investments of the Royal Commission (10%).

     

    This came during a meeting organized by the Logistics Committee in Asharqia Chamber, was opened by Saadoun Al-Khalidi, a member of the Board of Directors.

    He said in a welcoming speech that the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 and the new trends in the structure of the national economy by diversifying the economic base and opening the way for the private sector to play a greater role in the development process is a new start for the various bodies to redraw their paths to meet the goals and aspirations desired, which is including the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, which has a long history of success and has played a big role in keeping up with the vision in encouraging the local component and creating new opportunities in work and production.

    Al Khalidi called on investors to take advantage of the promising opportunities offered by the Authority in Jubail and Ras Al Khair, which constitute an added value that supports all the strategic directions and objectives affirmed by the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

     

    The Chairman of the Committee, Bandar bin Rafi al-Jabri, said that the Logistics Committee of Asharqia Chamber is seeking more communication with the Royal Commission in Jubail and Yanbu to monitor investment opportunities and to make them available to businessmen, especially in the logistics sector, which is a strong pillar of the national economy.

    Al-Jabri called on all businessmen, especially investors in the various logistics fields, to take advantage of a range of investment opportunities offered by the Commission, which means a broader and deeper role for the sector in the national economy as confirmed by the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

     

    In this regard, Al-Shammari said that the strategic objectives of the Commission are: (Growth, investor base, excellence cities, distinguished cadres, financial performance) that are all related to the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

    Through the strategic objective (growth), the Commission is working to expand the base of industries through increasing the number of cities and the size of industrial production, providing a competitive service investment environment to attract investments, and increasing investment and industrial production.

     In this regard, it converges with Vision 2030 on the issues of attracting foreign direct investment, establishing and improving the performance of logistics centers, raising the percentage of local content in the oil and gas sector, providing access to adequate housing for Saudi families, and maximizing the value of the mining sector and benefiting from it.

    He pointed out that the volume of industrial production in the cities of Jubail and Ras Al-Khair reaches 147 million tons, as the volume of exports last year were amounted to about 58 million tons.

     

    The strategic objective (investor base) is characterized by optimal selection of investors by attracting value-added investments and attracting various complementary industries with higher added value.

    Al-Shammari said the link between this strategic objective and the Vision 2030 appears in the development of oil and gas-related industries and the attraction of foreign direct investment, both of which are clearly confirmed by Vision 2030.

     

    The (cadres distinctive) is intended to develop the outputs of education and provide national cadres qualified to investors in cities.

    Al Shammari stated that the Royal Commission in Jubail and Yanbu is in line with the vision of 2030 in this goal through ensuring the alignment of education outputs with labor market needs, expanding vocational training to provide for labor market needs, and improving the order of educational institutions and universities.

     

    Regarding the objective of the "cities of excellence," he said that this goal is embodied in the constant quest to reach our cities to the rank of the best cities in the world, which is reflected in improving the standard of living, security, health and welfare through improving the level of rehabilitation and maintenance of obsolete infrastructure and public utilities, as well as preserving, protecting and developing the environment and improving the level of rehabilitation and maintenance of obsolete public facilities.

    He added that this strategic objective meets the objectives of the Kingdom's vision 2030 in many points that are committed by the Commission; the most important of which are: providing access to adequate housing for Saudi families and access to health services (geographical scope, availability of services, availability of prices, etc.), strengthening health risk prevention (public health and health crisis management), improving the quality of services provided in Saudi cities (public utilities, public transport, etc.), improving the quality of services provided to citizens to improve the efficiency of the system of social services, and reduce pollution of various types (such as air pollution, voice, water, and terrestrial), protecting and creating natural areas (such as beaches, islands and natural reserves) and protecting the environment against natural hazards (such as desertification).

     

    The objective of "financial performance" means the progressive development of financial performance and increased efficiency, which means maximizing and diversifying financial resources, and raising the efficiency of assets and operational processes.

    Al Shammari said that this goal meets the vision of the Kingdom 2030 at the point of diversifying government revenues, maximizing the revenues generated from services fees, improving the quality of services provided in Saudi cities (Public utilities, public transport and state-owned assets such as corporations), and enhancing the effectiveness of financial planning and efficiency of government spending, and improving the performance of government agencies.

     

    Al Shammari reviewed the initiatives of the Royal Commission in Jubail Industrial City under the National Transformation Program, which is including the development of basic and transformational industries with added value in the industrial city of Jubail, the development of residential areas in Jubail Industrial City, the development, processing and rehabilitation of public utilities and operation and maintenance in Jubail Industrial City, crisis Management and Security Systems Development in Jubail Industrial City, Logistics Center in Jubail Industrial City, the economic center in Jubail Industrial City, the operation of Jubail Industrial Airport, the processing and development of colleges and institutes in Jubail Industrial City, the provision of residential units in Jubail Industrial City, achieving the digital transformation of the cities of Jubail Industrial Ras Al Khair mining industries, the development and environmental protection in Jubail Industrial City, and the transfer to asset management in Jubail Industrial City and the Trade Fair Center in Jubail Industrial City.

     

    The initiatives of the Royal Commission in Ras Al Khair Industrial City within the framework of the National Transformation Program are the development of value-added manufacturing industries in Ras Al Khair Mining Industries, the development of basic facilities for the marine and mining industries Ras Ras Al Khair Industrial, the development of residential areas in Ras Al Khair Mining Industries, crisis management and the development of security protection systems in Ras Al Khair for mining industries, the development, processing and rehabilitation of public utilities and operation and maintenance in the city of Ras Al Khair Mining Industries, providing housing units for Ras Al Khair for Mining Industries and the development of Environmental Protection in Ras Al Khair for Mining Industries.

     

    In this regard, he reviewed the investment opportunities for logistics services in the Jubail logistics area, which are general and specialized warehouses, transport trucks and related repair and maintenance solutions, container management and maintenance, packaging lines, barrel filling, mixing and related services, value added services (customs clearance, import and export, re-packaging and distribution), and dealing with various kinds of materials (such as hazardous and flammable material).
